Evaluation

 

 

 

The first step in the process is to arrange a consultation with our specialists.  You may bring your item directly to tour offices where we will meet with you, conduct an evaluation, and provide you with a preliminary auction estimate.  You may also obtain an evaluation by sending to us by post or e-mail a photo of your item along with the relevant information and we will reply to you with our evaluation.

 

 

 

Decision to Sell

 

 

Based on the valuation's results, you and Alpha Zmart Auctions’ experts will decide whether your property is appropriate for sale at auction. We will also recommend an appropriate venue and possible sale timing. If you decide to proceed, you will sign a contract, and AlphaZmart Auctions will take the property in for catalogueing and photography.

 

Shipping

 

 

AlphaZmart Auctions can help you arrange to have your property delivered to our offices, if necessary.  Kindly note that the seller is responsible for packing, shipping and insurance charges.

 

Seller's Contract

 

 

 

The seller contract covers two important issues that will affect the amount you may receive from the sale of your item: the reserve price and the seller’s commission.

 

 

 

Reserve Price: the reserve is the confidential minimum selling price to which a consignor (you) and AlphaZmart Auctions agree before the sale.  Below this price no bid will be accepted.  If bidding on your item fails to reach the reserve price, we will not sell the piece and will advise you of your options.

 

 

 

Seller's Commission: Sellers pay a commission to AlphaZmart Auctions that is deducted, along with any agreed-upon expenses, from the hammer price. Should you have any specific questions regarding the selling commission, please contact us for more information.

 

 

Payment

Shortly after the sale, you will receive a listing of the final hammer price for each item you consigned. We will send payment within 35 days from the day of the sale provided we are in receipt of the buyer's payment.
